      The Center for Community Solutions (CCS) operates the only rape crisis center in the city of San Diego along with a countywide 24-hour bilingual crisis helpline. The nonprofit agency also provides emergency domestic violence shelters for 30 days for male and female 18 years old and up, hospital and court accompaniment, as well as legal and counseling services for those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. The shelter accepts children and offers clothing, safety planning, on site support for survivors and children and assistance with obtaining transitional or permanent housing.

      Take Wing is a transitional living program for youth ages 18-22 (and emancipated 16 to 17 year old) who are in danger of becoming homeless or are homeless and were not in the foster care system. Accepts legally married couples with children, women with children, men with children, and single men and women.

      Transitional housing is for youth ages 18-24 (will also take 16 and 17 year old who are emancipated) who are aging out of the foster care system and are at risk of becoming homeless.

      San Diego Rescue Mission meets the critical, diverse needs of homeless, poor and/or addicted men, women and children through our 12-month residential rehabilitation program, providing the tools, training and support to permanently transform their lives. In addition to providing basic services such as housing and food, our program also integrates practical life skills such as vocational training and educational classes. Work therapy and individual therapy assist in the recovery of each client, and Bible study classes add to the men’s total transformation.
