LOS LOBOS

For 18 years Doors of Change, a 501 (c)(3) organization has exclusively worked with homeless youth. We found that music and art classes help foster trusting relationships with homeless youth months sooner than typical outreach programs. When they trust us, homeless youth will ask for help from our case manager which will help improve their lives. Safe housing is often a result.

Our award-winning Taking Music & Art to the Streets (TMATS) program in Ocean Beach helped place 90 homeless youth in safe housing last year alone and 39 youth found jobs. Since 2001 we have helped place over 1,900 homeless youth in safe housing. We help these youth break the cycle of homelessness and become productive citizens.
Proceeds from this concert helped more youth break the cycle of homelessness. Los Lobos has been signing guitars for DOC for over 17 years. We have raised over $18,000 with their help.
